Hamot Employees Recognized for Years of Service to the Organization and Hamot Ambassadors of the Year Announced

Erie, PA— In 1965, Marilyn Anderson started her career at Hamot Medical Center and 45 years later she is still working in the Mother/Baby unit. Marilyn is just one of the caring and dedicated employees that will be recognized for years of service to Hamot.

Hamot is set to celebrate Marilyn’s years of service in addition to more than 500 others who reached various five year milestones at its 64th Annual Employee Service Awards Dinner at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center.

Joining Marilyn at the top of the list for years worked at Hamot are Patricia Porsch, Inez Williams, and Carolyn Counasse who will all celebrate 40 years of employment at Hamot.

“This is one of my favorite events because I get to spend time with the very people who make Hamot the incredible organization that it is today,” said John Malone, President & CEO at Hamot. “Each of these employees recognized today is an expert in his/her field and they exemplify Hamot’s mission, ‘to Serve.’”

In addition to recognizing employees for years of service, Hamot also believes it is important to honor those individuals who have consistently demonstrated Hamot’s core values of quality, respect, service, compassion, cooperation, integrity and teamwork. Hamot Ambassadors are nominated by their peers and selected monthly throughout the year. From those who have been named Hamot Ambassadors, three Ambassadors of the Year are announced at the event.
