The more you know, the better you can manage your diabetes. Great Lakes Diabetes Institute offers you this power through both group and individual education sessions. Education costs are usually covered by most insurances. Some of our class topics include:

More people with diabetes are using the newest technology to help them maintain better control of their blood sugars. We have expert staff to train on the latest insulin pumps and help you select the product to suit your lifestyle. 
Blood glucose monitors
If you monitor your blood sugar regularly, you will need the proper equipment and supplies. We carry a large selection of blood glucose monitors, test strips and lancets you will need to stay informed. We also offer special voice monitors for the visually impaired. Products can be purchased at one of our retail locations or they can be sent to your home if ordered through our mail-order program or website.

Support
You can rely on us for support. We offer free monthly support group meetings that focus on a variety of topics. We also have special support for children (SHARP Kids) and insulin pump users. Great Lakes Diabetes Institute also hosts a Diabetes Expo on the fourth Tuesday of March each year (which is also National Diabetes Alert Day).
